The Centre of Excellence aims to support disability and equity staff working with Deaf and hard of hearing students. We offer a number of services and resources.

These include:

Advice via telephone or email, on any issue related to students with a hearing loss. This can include queries regarding support services, instructional issues, management strategies and referrals to other services.

Printed resources that include information sheets that can be found on the Publications page of this website.

Provision of Professional Developmentworkshops or face-to-face advice to teaching staff and institute personnel regarding the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. Workshops can be tailored to the needs of your workplace and can vary in topic and time. Most professional development is free of charge. Click here to go to our PD page.

Feedback to the Centre including informal meetings and telephone contact where issues that DLOs experience in the field are raised and brought to the attention of the Centre, thus informing its future directions.

Any other request a DLO has, we will work towards solutions!
