Centre of Excellence Welcome Video

The Centre of Excellence website is an information resource for pospective and current students, teachers of the deaf, parents, DLOs, interpreters and people who want to learn Auslan.

On the left-hand side of the page, there are links that will navigate you to information you might find useful.

If you are a student or are thinking of becoming a student, click on the "Future Students" link  and a new page will open with information regarding being a student in TAFE.

Under the Future Students section, information is divided into categories which you can click on such as "Centre of Excellence Courses, Your Rights and Responsibilities, etc".

If you are a teacher in VET or a teacher of the deaf, those links will provide you with information relating to teaching deaf students and working with interpreters and other support staff.

Parents will find information here about your child’s rights and the TAFE's responsibilities in Vocational Education and Training otherwise known as VET.

Disability Liaison Officers will find information about supporting the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.

Interpreters will find information about the Central Auslan Booking Service (CABS) and information about working with learners.

People who want to learn Auslan will find some resources about how to start and where to go to learn Australian sign language.

The remaining items are links relating to: resources; services; and research about deaf and hard of hearing students in TAFE which is available from the us.
