Second Hand Books
All texts sold by the Bookshop are brand new and attract a 5% discount upon presentation of your student card.
The Bookshop does not sell second hand books, however we can recommend the following:
- Liaise directly with students from previous years of study in your department.
- Look out for advertisements on campus notice boards listing books for sale.

Discounts
All students receive a 5% discount off the Recommended Retail Price of any text book purchased at the NMIT Bookshop.
All companies purchasing items on behalf of students will not be entitled to the student discount, this includes both direct employers and companies providing employment assistance.
We stock a broad range of stationery at very competitive prices.
Book Orders
If we do not have your required text in stock, we will endeavour order it in for you.
All that is required is a $10.00 deposit.
A special order is required for all books not set as current NMIT texts as such items are not normally kept in stock.
Most orders will be received within 1-2 weeks, however if your order will take longer we will notify you in advance.
Payment Methods
Part Payments
The Bookshop does not accept part payments.
Holding Items
Items can be held for a period of up to seven days. Should you require items to be held for a longer period, please contact the bookshop to make arrangements.
Cheques
We accept personal and company cheques. Cheque payments must be for the exact amount owing and must be accompanied by valid identification (student card, driver's licence or passport) from the cheque bearer.
