Welcome to NMIT Kyneton Park – your local training centre
From 1 August 2009, Kyneton Racecourse will begin an exciting new phase as NMIT Kyneton Park – a training centre providing essential skills across a variety of industries including viticulture, agriculture, horticulture, agriculture and the equine industry. At the same time NMIT Kyneton Park will continue to operate as a thoroughbred racing and training facility.
This exciting development for the Macedon Ranges region is the result of a new partnership between Kyneton District Racing Club (KDRC) and NMIT (Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE)

NMIT Kyneton Park will provide the community with much needed access to flexible training options to suit a wide range of needs and skills. Courses include:
- Horse Nutrition and Pasture Management
- Irrigation for the Water Wise Gardener
- Wine Appreciation
- Weed Identification and Control
- Vermin control (coming soon)
- Garden with natives (recognise small plants) (coming soon)
- Operate and maintain chainsaws to fell small trees (coming soon)
- Tree and shrub pruning techniques (coming soon)
- Native plant identification (coming soon)
- Give advice on companion animal selection and general care (coming soon)
- Farm chemicals (coming soon)
- Whole farm planning (coming soon)
