NMIT Schools Activities & Events
The Student Recruitment Officer is responsible for promoting NMIT’s courses to future students. This is achieved by working closely with career advisors to ensure current NMIT course information is available within schools.
NMIT participates in a variety of schools based activities including delivering a VET in Schools program (VETis). These may include:
- School talks (general or course specific)
- Campus tours & talks
- Career Advisors Day
- School Expos
- Major/regional careers expos including The Age VCE and Careers Expo and Herald Sun Melbourne Careers and Trades Expos
- TIS (Tertiary Information Service)
- Regional Careers Group meetings
- Tailored schools programs
Schools can arrange on campus visits for years 10, 11 & 12. Preference will be given to Year 11 & 12 students during terms 2 & 3. Visits from Year 10 students are welcomed during terms 1 & 4 and will be accommodated at other times where possible.
School activities with Year 9 students will be considered during off peak periods (terms 1 & 4).
Every attempt will be made to respond to requests for off campus visits however, there may be times of the year when it is difficult to service these requests.
NMIT schools activities can be requested by completing the NMIT Student Activity Booking Form. Please provide 4 weeks notice prior to your event. 2 months notice is required for Tasters and tailored schools programs.
