Dr Colleen Morris

Dr Colleen Morris is an experienced educator and artist. Her art works include installation, sound and mixed media, words and painting; her primary research areas of interest are related to water, ecology and environment.

Colleen is engaged in educational research - participating in conferences e.g.: AAH Annual Conference, Intersections 2009, Manchester UK. (Poster Session), International Learning, Teaching & Research Conference CUMULUS INC 38Degrees S. Melbourne 2009 (Paper Presentation))

Her work is represented in Public collections of: ARTBANK Australia, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Queensland Art Gallery, Victoria Council for the Arts, Mildura Regional Arts Centre.

Colleen has previously been an external examiner for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Fine Art at RMIT and, in 2010, was invited to be one of the external examiners at the Centre for Creative Research, University of Western Sydney, in the Doctorate of Creative Arts (DCA) program. She has completed the first part in the examination process for the UWS program – a thesis entitled Coming to Ground which is linked with visual arts, ecology and identity – and is due to examine the final part in July / August 2010.
