Awards for the NMIT Awards Program are generously donated by members of the NMIT Industry Foundation. Foundation members provide cash grants, as well as vouchers and products as awards to students.
The Awards Program is designed to acknowledge students who are able to demonstrate the following:
- Enthusiasm and commitment to their studies
- Academic and/or skills excellence
There are two types of Study Grant opportunities for students:
Open Study Grants
NMIT is keen to reward students who are able to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to their studies as well as academic or skills excellence. NMIT, in conjunction with the NMIT Industry Foundation, offers students the opportunity to receive Study Grants and Study Tours to enhance their studies.
The NMIT Awards Program includes cash, study tours, equipment and vouchers from $1 000 to $12 000 in value.
NMIT is now receiving applications from NMIT students for the 2010 NMIT Study Grants Program. To be eligible for a NMIT Study Grant students’ must be:
- Enrolled full time in either a NMIT Higher Education Course or a government funded TAFE course
- An Australian citizen
To apply, download a form from this page or collect one from Student Services or Information Services at each campus. Make sure you collect or download the correct form:
- Use the TAFE application form if you are studying a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma course
- Use the Higher Education form if you are studying a Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree course
For the best chance of success:
- Make sure you leave enough time to complete your application thoroughly
- Address the criteria identified on the form clearly and concisely
- Provide copies of documents that support your application
The applications are assessed by a panel and appointed based on students’ ability to address the criteria detailed in the application. All applicants are notified of the outcome of the application. Applications close Friday 5 March, 2010.
