From 2010, the term ENTER score will be replaced by ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank). This change will be implemented across all states, not just Victoria.

NMIT, in line with the majority of Victorian TAFEs, does not publish the ATAR for its TAFE courses.

This decision was made because the ATAR score is usually only a part of what makes up whether or not a student is offered a place in a TAFE course.

Often other considerations such as interview, folio and other extra requirements are given equal or higher weighting.

Publishing ATAR’s could mislead students into believing it is the primary tool used for selection, which is not the case.
