The Student Ambassador Program is coordinated by Marketing & Corporate Communications and involves current NMIT students working with the Student Recruitment Officer and participating in various schools activities. This can involve acting as a tour guide for on campus visits from secondary schools, speaking on student panels and assisting at career expos.

While the Student Recruitment Officer provides detailed and accurate course information to future students of NMIT, current students make a valuable contribution by providing school students with a realistic view into what further study is really about. This involves not only course insight, but tertiary life as a whole: course options, social aspects, transitional issues and support services available.

Benefits for participants:

  • Rate of pay is $15 per hour for the first year and $20 per hour for second year participants.
  • Training and professional development is offered as part of the program.
  • Added leadership experience to include on resume.
  • Contribute to the NMIT community

Applications are encouraged from both local and international NMIT students from all campuses and various study areas.

More information can be found in the duty statement or by contacting the Student Recruitment Officer. All candidates are required to complete an application form.
