Career in TV production
NMIT boasts industry standard television studio facilities using HD cameras and mixing units, as well as being one of the few training institutes with EVS broadcast equipment allowing for digital recording of multiple camera views, and integrating them for a live broadcast.
You can read about the benefits of studying Screen and Media at NMIT from past students Jack Levitt and Cameron Dale. Like Levitt and Dale many students find studying at NMIT has prepared them with the skills for working within the Television Industry.
Placements and projects undertaken throughout the courses – such as the Melbourne 22 program series or filming performing arts music concerts such as the yearly Songwriting competition at the Yarra Edge music festival – provides students with industry experience and contacts to start working soon after completing their course.
Watch an introductory video on Television Production at NMIT. NMIT Screen and Media courses includes the 2 year fulltime Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media with an exit point after the first year of Certificate IV in Screen and Media.
