Pathways to Further Study
Students who complete the Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) may seek entry and advanced standing into degree courses in Architecture offered by Universities.
The Advanced Diploma will normally exempt a student from the first year- to year and a half of a degree program.
Career Opportunities
This course is recognised by the Building Designers' Association of Victoria and is recognised by the Building Practitioners' Board as the pre-requisite qualification for application to become a registered practitioner within Victoria.
Graduates may seek employment as a Team Leader or Project Administrator with Architects, Builders or Building Designers and after gaining suitable industrial work experience will be capable of running their own drafting office and will be able to apply to the Building Practitioners Board to become a registered practitioner.
Employment may also be sought as an Architectural Technician for Architects, Building Contractors, Building Designers or in the Building Management department of large commercial enterprises or government departments.
Entrance Requirements
There are no prerequisite studies. Non-year 12 applicants are required to attend an interview and present a folio. You will also be required to attend the new Greens Skills centre of Excellence at the Epping campus for some of your studies.

Students will be assessed using a variety of methods, including: project-based assessment, theory-based tests, completion of practical assignments/folio work, targeted oral questions.
