The first year of this course is the dual Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking) & (Programming) in which the student completes 995 hours of study. Students successfully completing the first year of the course (Certificate IV) can progress into second year (Advanced Diploma) in which they are able to concentrate their second year studies in one of two streams: Network Security or Systems Development . The Advanced Diploma of Information Technology stream concentrates on the development of industry based IT solutions for organisations using software, programming and design techniques that include, Database Design, JAVA programming, Visual Basic, Project Management, e-business, systems testing and Web development.
