Entrance Requirements
Local Students:
Prerequisite: Units 3 and 4 English and visual communication & design (or equivalent)
Selection Mode: School leavers need results in prerequisite studies, interview & folio presentation (or equivalent). Mature age applicants need interview & folio presentation (or equivalent).
Extra Requirements: All applicants must make an appointment during October for an interview/ folio presentation. NMIT conducts interviews in early November to December. To assist in preparing for the interview, an information pack will be available. For details please contact the department.
International Students:
Successful completion of studies equivalent to Australian Year 12 education or relevant employment experience. English language proficiency equivalent to Academic IELTS overall band score of 6.0 for degree level courses. Applicants in Australia are required to attend an internview and present a folio.* If you are applying from overeas, you will be required to contact the department to arrange a web-teleconference interview as well as present a folio. Applicants should also have studies equivalent to Australian Year 12 to include visual communicatoin and design or a similarly recognised equivalent subject. *information about folio preparation can be provided by the department.Materials
Assessment Methods
Assessment will be based on one or more of the following: development of a portfolio, group projects working to brief, group/individual oral presentation, individual projects working to brief.
