The Bachelor of Illustration is designed for those who have a passion for illustration and also want to use creative principles as a means to enhance business practices and opportunities.

The Bachelor of Illustration explores illustration practices and the influence of commercial, social, cultural and technological advances on the illustration industry.

Commercial technology is creating and recreating new contexts for illustration and illustrators. Evolving and emerging illustrative practices in social commentary (satire), graphic design, publishing, advertising, animation (computer and film) and multimedia creates enormous potential for illustrators.

The 21st century illustrator will be entrepreneurial, culturally and creatively aware, have strong management skills and business acumen, be able to predict and interpret trends and operate within changing environments. Consequently the body of knowledge that informs the development and delivery of the Bachelor of Illustration also draws on scholarship in history, technology, commerce, media and cultural studies.
