Certificate III in Business Administration Medical

Start your career in medical administration - gain the practical skills and knowledge required for medical administration in doctors’ clinics, specialist rooms or hospitals.

Study a practical course to get you working

This qualification is designed to develop administrative and computing competencies which will enable candidates to perform various tasks such as organising schedules, spreadsheets, produce texts from audio transcription, producing word processed business documents, to an appropriate and skilled standard.

There is an opportunity to gain practical work experience through a two week placement program which has the potential to lead to real job opportunities for some of our students.

Entrance Requirements

There are no mandatory requirements for entry to this course. The expectation is that successful applicants will possess the underpinning skills and have an educational level that will enable the achievement of the objectives. One way of acquiring these underpinning skills is through successful completion of the Certificate II in Business.

Assessment Methods

Assessment will be a combination of: tests, practical exercises, case studies, demonstrations, observations, role plays, assignments.

Materials

Students will be required to purchase text books and notes. Book lists will be available upon enrolment.

Pathways to further study

After successfully achieving Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical), graduates wanting to advance their qualifications will have the underpinning skills necessary to undertake the Certificate IV in Business.
