Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling

Lay the groundwork to success. Get the trade qualification and learn the latest in wall and floor tiling skills through training and support to be an asset to your employer with your wall and floor tiling apprenticeship.

A hands-on course to get you ready for your career

There are lots of career opportunities for apprentice wall and floor tilers, both in the building industry and as sole traders.

If you can demonstrate current skills and knowledge in wall and floor tiling, fast track your qualification and apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Contact the tiling department to arrange an assessment.

Learn from the training leaders

You will gain essential skills and knowledge in:

  • performing measurements and calculations
  • tiling ceramic, clay, slate, marble, glass, porcelain and natural stone
  • occupational health and safety
  • using hand and power tools, including tile-cutting tools
  • preparing and applying grout
  • using spirit levels, squares and plumb lines
  • using small plant and equipment
  • tiling decorative mosaics
  • tiling pools and spas
  • installing marble floors

All of NMITs tiling teaching staff are qualified and experienced. You will receive in depth training, ensuring you become an asset to any employer in your tiling career.

At NMIT, you will have the opportunity to work on full sized projects at our Heidelberg campus which has Victoria's most technologically advanced building and construction facilities.

Trade Support Loan (TSL) program

Australian apprentices undertaking this course may be eligible for the Federal Government's new Trade Support Loan (TSL) program.

    Hi Sam, this is an apprenticeship course. You will need to have a signed training agreement with an employer stating they will take you on an apprentice and then you can commence this course. ^ARG
