Wool Handling and Classing course is designed to develop participants' skills and knowledge in a wide range of activities such as: Occupational Health & Safety, animal handling, shearing shed preparation, preparing & classing wool, preparing documentation and managing the wool classing process.

Graduates can progress onto the Certificate III in Wool Clip Preparation and the Certificate IV in wool classing which will enable participants to receive professional Wool Classer accreditation.

Units of competency completed within these courses can be utilised as part of other qualifications of the Rural Production Training Package. Further study can be undertaken at the Diploma and/or Advanced Diploma levels. Contact the Agriculture and Animal Science Department for specific advice.
