Trainees are employed by bricklayers and train on-site with their employer and off-site with a Registered Training Organisation e.g. NMIT.
Trainees work on full size projects of varying degrees at NMIT's specially designed facilities. Training identifies and underpins the underlying requirements to:
- collect, analyse and organise information
- communicate ideas and information
- plan and organise activities
- work with others and in teams
- use mathematical ideas and techniques
- solve problems
- use technology required within the industry.
All core units plus six electives must be satisfactorily passed to complete the course.
