Graduates of this course may continue studies in the Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering. Graduates may also be given exemptions from other further studies if they wish to continue with further study. Entrance Requirements

Local Students:

Year 11 Mathematics (any) and English. Mature age applicants and those displaying suitable motivation will be considered upon interview. Conversion from other courses or disciplines is possible. Please contact the Department to discuss arrangements and/or required bridging units.

International Students:

Australian year 12 (or recognised equivalent) or relevant work experience. IELTS 5.5 or higher (or recognised equivalents). Mature Age.

Assessment Methods

Assessment in this program is conducted in two stages. Students must complete each unit of underpinning knowledge by satisfactorily completing the required assignments/examinations to be eligible to attempt the competency assessment. The competency assessment consists of a number of actual/simulated work projects which must be satisfactorily completed to demonstrate competencies in the relevant workplace functions.
