This program is delivered through the ESL Framework. It is a program for adults of non-English speaking background at intermediate level.
Program content is dependent on the needs of students.
During the course the participants will :
• Develop and document a learning plan and portfolio
• Use Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills with support to
-speak and listen to a range of straightforward texts for employment
-read and write a range of straightforward texts for employment
-conduct a range of tasks to work effectively in an Australian workplace

Students are advised to complete an English and study skills certificate at level 4 before going on to mainstream study.

Career Opportunities
Those students who achieve a certificate at level 3 are able to move into our Vocational Pathways Department to continue their English language and study skills training to assist them towards their goal of work or mainstream study.
Students who complete Certificate II Kitchen Operations can continue Hospitality studies with Certificate III Commercial Cookery or Certificate III Patisserie.
Students who complete Certificate II Kitchen Operations are well suited to finding work in the hospitality industry
Entrance Requirements
All applicants are interviewed before placement in the program.
Materials
Assessment Methods
There are no exams. Assessment is continuous and ongoing, focusing on the process of learning as well as the competency requirements of the modules of the ESL Framework and the Certificates in Spoken and Written English.

A range of materials and equipment are used during the course and students are provided with photocopied worksheets on a day-to-day basis.
