This course is designed to train international students in the specific skills required for competence within the furniture manufacture and cabinet making industry.
Students undertake training in various skill areas which include but are not limited to occupational health and safety, interpretation of plans and documentation, safe operation of hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery, furniture construction techniques, Computer Aided Drafting, CNC technology, furniture polishing (spray gun) and installation techniques.

Students who complete training will become qualified trades persons.
Trades people can gain employment in a variety of sectors within the furnishing industry, including free standing furniture and built-in furniture (Kitchens, bathrooms etc)
Qualified Cabinet makers may also gain employment in related industries such as Shop fitting or Caravan manufacturing.
