Entrance Requirements

No previous experience or prior training in horticulture is required. There are two forms of delivery for this horticulture training: 1. Full-time: Training is delivered over four days per week. Prospective students will be interviewed to ascertain if this course is best suited to their needs. 2. Part-time: Training is delivered as night classes with some weekend work. Students are advised to enrol for two night classes per week. Part-time students may elect to enrol in daytime subjects. Prospective students will be interviewed to ascertain if this course is best suited to their needs.

Materials

Assessment Methods

A competency based course assessment is based on students' abilities to achieve unit outcomes. There is the opportunity for workplace delivery and assessment of competencies. Assessment methods include: Demonstration of skills Tests and assignments Folios Oral activities Third party reports.

List of safety equipment and books that need to be purchased by students will be distributed to students early in the course.
