The purpose of this course is to enhance the skills and knowledge of people in the engineering field, specifically engaged in the maintenance of plant and equipment and also the manufacturing and fitting of replacement parts for machinery.

Entrance Requirements
For entry into the maintenance procedures course completion of an apprenticeship or contract of training in a trade is required (discipline of fitting & machining).

Assessment Methods
On completion of each competency the student will be internally assessed to determine whether the theory and practical outcomes have been achieved. With some competencies a theory examination may be required. The syllabus document for each competency lists the major learning outcomes and standard of assessment required.
