This Course in Initial General Education for Adults (CGEA) is an ESL course offered through the Youth Unit's Young Adult Migrant Education Courses (YAMEC).

This beginner course is for young adults from non-English speaking backgrounds between 15 to 26 years old who have disrupted, incomplete or no prior education. The course aims to develop English language, numeracy and study skills to enter into study in more advanced ESL courses.
