The Diploma of Graphic Design is offered in conjunction with the Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. Students enrol in the lower level qualification and progress to the higher level qualification upon successful completion of the required units. (Note: Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design not available for International Students)

Entrance Requirements
Local Students:
Applicants must have completed Year 12 (including English). Mature age students who wish to return to education who have not met this requirement are also encouraged to apply. All applicants must attend an interview where they will be asked to present a folio of work which demonstrates the use of a range of materials and techniques. Further details of entry requirements may be obtained on application to the department. Following the VTAC application period, late applications will be accepted directly through the Visual Arts department. Timely applications should be submitted via VTAC.
International Students:
Australian Year 12 (or recognised equivalent) or relevant work experience. IELTS 5.5 or higher (or recognised equivalents). Mature Age students are encouraged to apply. All prospective applicants must attend an interview session where they are required to present a folio of work, which demonstrates the use of a range of materials and techniques.Materials

Materials
Students must pay a AU$900 materials and membership levy upfront at the start of the course (first year AU$300, second year AU$900. Part of the second year materials levy to include registration or memberships to relevant peak industry organisations and events). The department supplies some materials and students are expected to purchase their own personal kits and replenish as required throughout the course.
