Senior VCAL is an accredited senior school completion certificate. Open to people of all ages, the course completes your school education with a focus on preparing you for further education or employment. You can specialise in a range of fields, such as carpentry or music, taking units from business-related certificate courses.
Areas of study include:
- using computers and computer hardware
- the internet
- personal development
- reading and writing
- numeracy and maths

Students who successfully complete the course will be eligible to apply for a range of TAFE courses, pre-apprenticeships, traineeships or employment.
Entrance Requirements
Students must be at least 17 years old and have not completed Year 12. Suitable for mature aged adults. Applicants will be interviewed. Enrolments will be undertaken through November to January.

Assessment Methods
Assessment is ongoing and can occur at any time during the program. Assessment methods may include: a portfolio of accumulated evidence; teacher observation and/or checklists; evidence gained through projects or program participation; awards from recognised programs; self assessment inventories; oral and written work.
