The VCAL Ticket to a Trade program is offered at Foundation, Intermediate and Senior level. Students will be enrolled in VCAL units (literacy, numeracy, personal development and work-related skills) in the first semester of 2010. On successful completion of Semester 1 students can apply for a range of pre-apprenticeship positions. They will then complete the pre-app application process for the Semester 2 intake of that particular pre-apprenticeship.
On successful completion of both Semester 1 VCAL and Semester 2 Pre-apprenticeship students will be eligible for their VCAL certificate as well as their pre-apprenticeship certificate.
This program will be repeated in Semester 2 with a new group commencing VCAL to become ready to apply for a pre-apprenticeship position for 2011.
