NMIT has provided education and training to the music industry for more than 30 years, and has played a significant role in developing popular music curricula since 1986. To maintain its level of professionalism NMIT has invested heavily in establishing major facilities to industry standards that support higher education in the music industry. The Higher Education Program is run from NMIT's Fairfield Campus.
