Welcome to the Information Technology Department

 

Hi, my name is Alan Cusumano and I am the Head of Department for Information Technology at NMIT. The NMIT Information Technology Department offers a range of new and exciting courses for a variety of current skill levels. We have Certificate III to Advanced Diploma qualifications that cover a range of topics including Networking, Network Security, Mobile Applications Programming, Software Development, Client Needs Analysis, Project Management and Network Troubleshooting.

An exciting feature of our courses is that they incorporate a number of certifications that include IT Essentials, CISCO CCNA 1 through to CISCO CCNA 4, CCNA Security, Micsosoft Technology Associate - Networking and Micsosoft Technology Associate - Security.

Our teachers are a dedicated team of industry professionals that provide students with the opportunity to learn the latest industry skills in an environment that is both supportive and understanding.

In addition to our wide range of courses and dedicated teaching team, we also have a number of unique initiatives that provide students with additional opportunities to fill their resume with experiences that will help them get a job. Some of these include:

• Student Exit Program provides students with the opportunity to talk to the right people about the next step in their journey whether it be pathway options to university, job search strategies, completing job applications, cover letter and resume writing and developing a skills portfolio
  
  
• Industry Links Program provides students with the opportunity to undertake work placements
  
  
• Industry Projects enables allows students to work on real life industry projects as part of their Advanced Diploma studies
