The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) assesses the language ability of people who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. It tests speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
The same listening and speaking tests are taken by all candidates.
Candidates must choose to do either:
- the Academic Reading and Writing Modules(for entry into tertiary studies)
or - the General Training Reading and Writing Modules (for entry into secondary schools, colleges and workplace and for immigration purposes)
To find out more about the module types, format, content and duration of the test, test day administration, the IELTS band scores and the test report form see IELTS Information for Candidates.
For candidates who want to develop the necessary speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to improve their chances of success, NMIT also offers IELTS Preparation Courses.
