News - NMIT Makes a Stand at the Herald Sun Careers and Trades Expos
20 August 2012
NMIT (Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE) made its presence felt at the recent 2012 Melbourne Careers and Trades Expos, sponsored by the Herald Sun, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with two great new stands.
The purpose-built stands stood out among competitor institutions with one stand featuring a unique T-Shirt theme, attracting attention in the Careers Expo while the other stand focussed on apprenticeships and trades as part of the Melbourne Trades Expo.
The T-Shirt themed stand featured 18 specially designed T-Shirts covering NMIT's key program areas along with eight T-Shirts featuring key motivational words such as 'achieve', 'create', etc aligned with NMIT's 2013 marketing campaign.
NMIT Student Recruitment Officer, Cody Moore, estimates the stands attracted over 3,000 enquiries during the expo with around 1,960 Course and Career Guides and 1,000 Trade Guides given out.
“We tried to bring in some fresh new ideas to promote NMIT to potential students, and I have to say that the response to the new themes of the NMIT stands at the Herald Sun Expos has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Cody.
