| 23 | CD Launch: Dobe Newton’s ‘A convict can’t be trusted’ Staff and students from the Music Industry Business and Technical Production courses attended the CD launch of sessional teacher Dobe Newton’s ‘A convict can’t be trusted’ on Thursday 23rd April. Although being in the Music Industry for very long time, this was Dobe’s first solo release. He was supported by members of the Bushwackers, Paul Norton, Dan Bourke, Robyn Payne, Sam Lemann, Anthony O’Neill and other guests. It was great to see this event so well supported not only by family, friends, and other musicians but by students and staff from NMIT. Dobe also enlisted past and present students to carry out certain keys roles in the CD launch such as Promotion, Marketing and Merchandising sales – It was a great night and highlighted the fact we are ‘practising what we are teaching’. |
