Managed by NMIT 1st Year Diploma of Hospitality / Events students and co-presented by NMIT, Darebin City Council and Darebin Ethnic Community Council, this event is a celebration of Darebin’s multicultural community and its traditions of producing homemade wine and beer.

This event is family friendly and there will be drawing and colouring activities for the kids.

The Advanced Diploma (Software Process Improvement) students will be having their annual Industry Project Presentations @ the Epping campus, 9.00am – 12.00pm.

This exhibition will showcase work the graduates have done over the past eighteen months; which has utilised motion graphics, 2d and 3d modeling and animation, advanced imaging and website development. A film of the students work will be continuously shown throughout the exhibition.

Student Exit Program
The Student Exit Program will be held over two days – the 23rd and the 24th November. 9.30am – 3pm

The program aims to provide and equip students studying at NMIT with the necessary skills, contacts and career advice to help prepare them for future success in the IT industry. The Student Exit Program adds value to your existing studies by giving you the edge when it comes to planning your transition from study to employment.

Workshops will also be held on the following topics:

  • Professional cover letter & resume writing (specific to IT)
  • Job search strategies
  • Completing a job application
  • Interview preparation & techniques
  • Developing a skills portfolio

The event will include guest speakers from industry including: IBM, Computer Associates, Madman Entertainment, RMA Recruitment, Victoria University, just to name a few.
