I chose to study Aged Care Work at NMIT because the campus is close to home and they had a mid year intake which suited me.
The best thing about the course is the teachers and the student placement. The teachers are informative and friendly. I also enjoyed relating to the other students, especially the overseas student-amazing. I plan to work in aged care and perhaps go on to Division 2 nursing.

I wanted a career change and was interested in Aged Care and the course information night was excellent. I have enjoyed learning about all aspects of caring for residents in aged care. I have enjoyed meeting and communicating with other students. The teachers need to be commended, they are fantastic. I hope to further may career in aged care or continue with studies in nursing management.

One of the best things about the course has been the work placement. I have also enjoyed working with my classmates and teachers. The classes on dementia were also a highlight. I chose to come to NMIT because I have studied here before and it’s a fantastic institute. The teachers are very understanding and you learn so much from them. I plan to go on and study Division 2 nursing.
