FROCK jazz concert and workshop 2012

10 - Frock performing with NMIT music students

Music performance students from the Performing Arts Department participated in a jazz concert and workshop on 31st July at the Greensborough Campus. The five piece Melbourne Jazz ensemble Frock performed for the students, followed by instrumental and vocal workshops, then a combined performance by students and members of Frock.

NMIT music teachers Adam Starr (Guitar) and Anthony Schulz (Accordian/Piano) are members of FROCK along with Craig Beard (Vibraphone/percussion), Chris Hale (Electric bass) and Dave Beck (drums). Guests Gian Slater (voice) and Julien Wilson (saxophone) also performed at the concert and participated in workshops.

Music performance students participated in a jazz concert and workshop on 31st July at the Greensborough Campus with Frock performing for the students, followed by instrumental and vocal workshops, then a combined performance by students and members of Frock.

Frock have established a considerable reputation for their original jazz compositions and improvisational playing which combine elements from a wide diversity of musical cultures.
