Melbourne Zoo staff trained by NMIT
Shannon Combridge, NMIT’s Technical Officer, Meat and Fish, will deliver bandsaw training at the Royal Melbourne Zoo.
NMIT has won a short term contract to deliver bandsaw training to staff responsible for preparing the daily rations of the Zoo’s hungry carnivores.
Carcases of all types – from rabbits to buffalo, are delivered to the Zoo daily and subsequently broken down by Zoo staff to ensure a level of portion control consistent with the strict dietary requirements set down for the meat-eaters.
