NMIT has funding approval to provide wireless access for portable devices across all buildings on all campuses.

This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).

In June and July 2009 wireless coverage surveys were completed across all campuses of NMIT. Temporary wireless access points were set up and radio frequency quality was mapped from different locations within each area. The mapping occured from classrooms, staff rooms and in the open areas.
