“My name is Gary Martin head of computer systems and electro-technology. If you consider yourself to be a bright spark then a career in computer systems electro-technology or renewable energy could be for you.
With the current skills shortage in the electro-technology field there is a growing demand for a skilled workforce. With so many opportunities in this area, why not give it a go.” – Gary Martin Head of Computer Systems and Electro-technology.
The Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE’s Preston campus is located a short distance from the CBD in the heart of multicultural Melbourne and offers the very practical and hands on course of electrical trade pre-apprenticeship. This course provides students with the opportunity to learn industry terminology and various skills including basic circuitry and colour coding. This enables students to communicate professionally with prospective employers. The electro-technology industry is experiencing job growth, leading to exciting careers in electrical trade as an electrician, electrical fitter, electrical machine repairer and installation of security systems, refrigeration and air conditioning.
