My name is Kate and I work for the Commercial Operations of the Faculty of Earth Sciences. So in my position I look after the thoroughbred stud, vineyards, aquaculture, animal ethics, as well as lots of other things.

NMIT has four commercial vineyards: in Eden Park, Ararat, Yarra Glen and the Growling Frog. We sell our wine to the general public and they're basicly walk-ins, as well as staff members through the intranet.

We also have a meat processing facility up at the Epping Campus and have just started sales to staff both with beef and lamb packs.

They always encourage us to pursue interests and if you do do overtime or work beyond your actual capacity, NMIT encourages you to take time out and relax as well.
