Each year students from the Music and Music Industry courses participate in a songwriting competition at the Yarra Edge Music Festival at Fairfield campus. Music students at NMIT are priviledged to have music lecturer Greg Arnold, an award winning singer/songwriter to help them tune their songwriting skills.

Here are a few examples of student songwriting work entered in the annual songwriting competitions. The concerts were performed utilising the skills of Music Industry and Sound Production students, while the videos were filmed and produced by Screen and Media Students.
