This course opens up fantastic job opportunities in the fitness industry. Become a fitness instructor or coach. The course provides all the training necessary to work in the recreation industry and to lead the day-to-day running of recreational facilities and organisations.

Learn about anatomy and physiology; nutrition; screening and fitness appraisals; exercise Programming; equipment use and maintenance, as well as generic work skills such as communication, client service, risk analysis and first aid. Participants develop skills and knowledge in health and fitness, information technology, business and communication and undertake a 40-hour work placement in the fitness industry.

Prerequisites: Apply First Aid (First Aid Level II / HLTFA301B) is also required and is available to be completed at NMIT.
