NMIT offers you the opportunity to undertake the Course in Farm Chemical Use.
Area of Operation
Completion of this course is an essential requirement to gain an Agricultural Chemical User's Permit (ACUP) in the primary industries.
Users of agricultural chemicals are required to hold an ACUP permit for application of:
- Schedule 7 agricultural chemicals;
- Certain ester herbicide formulations;
- Atrazine soil residual herbicide;
Further, it is most advisable that agricultural chemical users are familiar with legislation relating to off-label use, pesticide drift, record keeping and Chemical Control Areas.
Boomsprayer calibration is an essential facet of the course.
NMIT provides a targeted statewide program of specially designed Farm Chemical Users Courses enabling qualification for Agricultural Chemical Users Permit registration.
Participants requiring a Commercial Operators Licence should contact Sarah Callahan for course requirements on (03) 9269 8911.
