If you are a technician, maintenance person, air-conditioning trades person or plumber required to disconnect and reconnect equipment for maintenance purposes then you may need a Disconnect/Reconnect (D/R) Worker's Licence. The licence is applicable to persons employed in a primary work function whereby there is a need to disconnect / reconnect electrical equipment that is incidental to their primary function.
Recommended: Persons who are considering obtaining a D/R Worker's Licence should contact Energy Safe Victoria on 03 9203 9700 or 1800 815 721 to confirm the suitability of their primary work function prior to commencing course work.
Please note: A D/R Worker's Licence will not be automatically issued to persons who have completed the D/R Worker's Licence course work. Applicants must apply to ESV for the licence and demonstrate a suitable primary work function to obtain the licence.
