The Federal Government's Green Loans Program is offering householders access to a free, comprehensive Home Sustainability Assessment to reduce their energy and water bills, increase the comfort of their home and help reduce damaging carbon pollution.

You must be approved as an assessor under the Home Sustainability Assessment Scheme (HSAS) for your clients to access this rebate.

This Home Sustainability Assessment training is a 4 day course which covers the requirements to become a HSAS Certified Assessor.

The Home Sustainability Assessors' Training Program aims to train advisors who will be able to provide householders with accurate, impartial and practical advice on how to reduce their impact on the environment.

To do this course you will need one of the following or an equivalent:

  • Building Thermal Performance Assessment (Residential); or
  • a qualification in Architecture or Building Design; or
  • substantial experience in the building industry; or
  • Home Sustainability Assessment registration 21854-VIC


HSA Course Content & Structure
Day One will cover the topics of: People Skills & Thermal Performance
Day Two will cover the topics of: Thermal Performance & Energy Services
Day Three will cover the topics of: Energy & Water Services
Day Four will cover the topics of: Water Services, OH&S & Risk assessment Walkthrough

Duration: 32 hours (To qualify to become a HSAS Certified Assessor you must attend all 4 days)
