Learn the basics of illustration. This unique short course provides the foundation for later study that may provide an avenue into the diverse and contemporary illustration industry. Illustrators contribute broadly to the creative industries, working in traditional areas such as publishing and print, and have an emerging presence in film and motion graphics, new media and communication.
The course covers techniques and materials fundamental to the craft, plus facets of art learning that enable the development of skill, confidence and an individual style.
Learn how to develop a concept, select the right materials, proceed through the design process and produce illustration artwork. The course also may provide the opportunity to build a folio in preparation for further study.
