The Associate Degree of Accounting now leads directly into the Bachelor of Accounting. The course covers subjects in the areas of law, information management, economics, statistics and management, accounting information systems, risk management and corporate governance, management accounting, company law, corporate accounting, financial management and taxation law compliance. Bachelor of Accounting

This course has been developed to meet the growing demand for business professionals with qualifications in the areas of accounting and sustainable business. It is ideal for those wishing to combine a mainstream accounting course with a sustainability and environmental management focus. The course includes traditional Accounting subjects covering General Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing and Taxation and Financial Management whilst at the same time providing a focus on environmental sustainability through subjects such as Introduction to Sustainability Studies, Environmental Law and Environmental Economics and Policy. Students who successfully complete an Associate Degree of Accounting are eligible to be accepted directly into the Bachelor of Accounting.

Certificate IV in Bookkeeping

Study part-time and get BAS agent registration in 6 months - NMIT’s Certificate IV in Bookkeeping meets the minimum requirements under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 for students seeking a career as a registered BAS agent. This course is available through flexible delivery to suit your needs with a mix of online and classroom based learning, with evening classes also available. Students can enrol and start the course anytime.

Certificate II in Financial Services

Office Accounts and Bookkeeping

Become confident in processing daily financial records for bookkeeping purposes. Topics include: business documents; journals; debtors and creditors subsidiary ledgers; general ledger accounts and trial balances; bank reconcilliation and Business Activity Statements (BAS). This module can be taken individually or together with Computerised Office Accounts MYOB to attain the Certificate in Office Bookkeeping.

Computerised Office Accounts MYOB

Expand your skills and employment prospects by learning to use Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) to prepare and process office accounts including payroll. Topics include: business documents; payroll preparation; debtors/creditors accounts; journal entries; create files; and print worksheets.
