Set for an earth moving future - gain basic skills and knowledge to operate a range of earthmoving equipment and increase your job chances. Choose three equipment types from the four we offer: excavator, backhoe, front end loader or skid steer. Students will attain the nationally recognised unit of competency AHCMOM310A Operate Land-forming Machinery and Equipment.

Forklift Licence (Short Course)
Get moving in the transport industry - NMIT’s Forklift Licence Short Course covers theory and practical operation of forklift trucks and will give you the necessary information on forklift operating safety and regulations. Upon successful completion you will be issued with a Licence to Perform High Risk Work card issued by WorkSafe Victoria (LF – Class) and a completed unit of competency TLILIC2001A Licence to operate a forklift truck.

Traffic Controller With Stop-Slow Bat
This short course is for people who want to work as traffic controllers on public roads and other designated traffic management areas. This course allows operators to work safely setting up traffic control equipment and directing traffic around work areas. At the end of the course the participants will have the knowledge and skills required safely control traffic with a stop/slow bat in accordance with VicRoads requirements.
