Musicians and composers often keep very strange hours - writing, rehearsing, performing, touring - they can be isolated away from peers and professional advice. If you fall into either area or simply want to understand more about the creative process outside of the classroom, NMIT’s popular online music courses will give you the theoretical and practical skills needed to improve and develop your talent.

Through the Arranging, Songwriting and Copyright courses you will gain knowledge in:

• writing for individual instruments
• rhythmic possibilities
• articulations, dynamics, and other notation devices
• creating melodies
• multi-part harmony
• intellectual property

The course will run over 10 weeks - Arranging (3 hrs a week), Copyright (4 hrs), Songwriting (2 hrs).

Students who reside outside Victoria are not eligible for a government subsidised place and will be charged full fees.
