Sustainability – make a career out of saving the planet!

NMIT provides a range of sustainability courses and training at the forefront of industry trends.

Our new Green Skills Centre of Excellence opened in 2010 and offers renewable energy courses to the skills required to build a sustainable future.

Every home will eventually be required to conform to some energy efficiency criteria. Sustainability represents a real growth area in industry and NMIT can help people get skilled up in a variety of ways.

At the most basic level, people will need:

  • advice on what they can do as individuals
  • to be informed so as not to be ripped-off by unscrupulous installers etc
  • to know what is the best solution for their needs and financial position
  • to know how to do an energy audit of their own homes and how they can use energy more efficiently
  • to know about carbon trading and cost saving

At an advanced level, in business and enterprise, people will need skills in:

  • Electronic Emissions Trading Platform (EETP)
  • Australian Climate Exchange Limited (ACX)
  • ACX Business Rules
