People with disabilities and special learning needs can face barriers to employment or education.
NMIT’s Work Education Centre will help you build your own goals and learn the skills needed to achieve them. We design individual programs that set realistic objectives that you can pursue at your own pace.
- how to find work, whether paid or voluntary
- pursuing further study
- general life skills
- numeracy and literary
- communicating effectively
- participating in the community
- specific industry requirements in hospitality
- specific industry requirements in theatre and performing arts
There are also opportunities to do placements in workplaces so you can learn ‘on the job’.
The performing arts course is supported by the City of Darebin, which provides activity opportunities for students in Darebin's Arts and Cultural Development Branch.
